I 'ain't Dead

Well, thought I'd upload SOMETHING even if it isn't a full illustration. This is to show I haven't been totally inactive these past months. These are a few drawings I've been working on for my Celtic-based story, and although some might look like complete pieces, I wasn't happy with the end results so never uploaded them. I HAVE MY REASONS!

I've been trying to draw scenes, rather than just characters - though admittedly you can tell I only got as far as drawing the characters before giving up on the whole thing altogether! My patience doesn't hold up well lately. In the case of the bottom right drawing of Lledrith and Evan, I just couldn't stand the paper I was drawing on! (It smudged so damn easily, the graphite couldhardly stay on the surface - hence the crappy shading.)

But that drawing is the only one I'm still hoping to re-do, obviously using sinfully expensive Daler-Rowney paper made from the tears of seventeen virgins. It'll be the two characters sitting in front of a standing stone, so I get to do Celtic carvings - or ancient graffitti, if you want to be really honest about your history!
