OK, first thing's first: Death is NOT about death in the literal sense. It's about the "death" of an old way of life to make way for the new. It's rebirth and transformation of self. I had silly ideas about someone shedding their skin - tried to show it by adapting drawings of people undressing (steady, people) but had them actually stepping out of their skin. It wasn't gross or anything, they were the same person underneath. But anyway, it looked crap. So I changed it slightly to have her "skin" actually shedding itself, in little pieces that fly away on the wind.

DEATH: unexpected or involuntary change, transformation, sudden endings, death of the ego, closing the door to the past and opening a new one, going through transition, changing status, shedding the old and excess, inexorable forces and sweeping changes.
INVERTED: refusal to change, immaturity, clinging to the past, long drawn out endings
